ROLE SUMMARY: We invite applications from outstanding, dynamic, and experienced individuals for the role of Piano Teacher, starting September 2025. This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your music expertise in a high-performing school environment, helping to establish a world-class music program at Wetherby Pembridge. Working closely with the Head of Music, you will contribute to developing an innovative and comprehensive music curriculum during this exciting new chapter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach high-quality individual music lessons to pupils.
Promote musical excellence and enjoyment by demonstrating instrumental skills.
Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils in line with school policies.
Prepare and deliver lessons tailored to each student's needs to ensure progress.
Understand the requirements and marking criteria for relevant music exams.
Use departmental systems to monitor and communicate pupils' progress and concerns with the Head of Music.
Communicate with parents regarding pupils' progress and concerns when applicable.
Direct ensembles and music activities as per timetable and at the request of the Head of Music.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Bachelor's degree in Music.
Proven success in teaching instrumental lessons to diverse ages and skill levels.
Professional performance experience.
Expertise in playing the main instrument to a professional standard.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, lesson plans, and student progress.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs and learning styles.
Commitment to professionalism and ethical standards.
Flexibility to schedule lessons around students' and school timetables.
Genuine passion for music education and inspiring students.
