Essential functions include managing the classroom to ensure compliance with all PA State regulations, Celebree School standards, policies and procedures. Planning and implementing developmentally, age-appropriate lesson plans in a safe, nurturing learning environment in accordance with the Celebree School curriculum; ensuring that the activities of lesson plans are clearly delegated and communicated to all staff involved; maintaining open and effective communication with teaching team members.

Providing a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, families and visitors; maintaining attractive classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly. Communicating effectively with caregivers, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback and providing regular updates on their child's development and classroom happenings; creating a daily report for children that provides caregivers with information about their child's day; engaging in open communication with caregivers to promote happy transitions.

Counseling children as needed using Conscious Discipline and appropriate behavior management techniques.

Education & experience requirements include having, or in the process of attaining, an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, meeting PA State requirements to be a Lead Teacher (preferred). Being engaging, dynamic and passionate about early learning & child development. Having comprehensive knowledge and understanding of behavioral and developmental stages of children to successfully manage a classroom. Possessing strong organizational, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills. Having a proven ability for taking initiative; displaying patience and flexibility; finding excitement in everyday challenges and being solution driven. Valuing an environment of authenticity, accountability and integrity. Working well as a member of a collaborative team focused on positive outcomes and easily building a professional relationship with parents and teammates. Being driven to give his or her best each day while working to protect, educate and nurture children.

Ability to commute/relocate: Fishtown, Philadelphia.
