Position Overview
Infant & Toddler Teachers at STT create nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environments for our youngest learners. This role includes supporting children's individual needs, fostering meaningful relationships, and working in close collaboration with families and colleagues to promote a holistic learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive, responsive, and developmentally-appropriate care to infants and toddlers in a safe and engaging environment Implement play-based curriculum, structure, and daily routines Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that supports exploration and learning Observe and document developmental progress and milestones Collaborate with families to support each child's individual needs and learning journey Communicate effectively and compassionately with children, families, and team members Support a positive team environment and participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age CDA, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent experience preferred Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed early childhood setting Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood development Strong communication and collaboration skills Must meet State of Maine licensing requirements, including background checks Willingness to apply for and maintain membership in the MRTQ Registry
