We’re currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler/Preschool Teacher to join our team. If you have a passion for shaping young minds and fostering growth, we’d love to meet you!
Responsibilities
Follow all guidelines outlined in the Golden Academy Employee Handbook, Title 22 Regulations, and Preventive Health and Safety standards.
Plan and implement daily classroom activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum and STEAM .
Foster a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth of each child.
Comfort children, establish consistent routines, and provide positive discipline and guidance.
Maintain ongoing communication with parents using Brightwheel , including daily updates, messaging, and progress reports.
Supervise children indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Support classroom organization, cleanliness, and mealtime preparation and cleanup.
Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to multitask and keep up with the daily needs of active young children.
Qualifications
Child Development Associate's Degree (Preferred)
Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing OR 24 ECE/CD units including core courses, plus 16 units in General Education
6 Infant/Toddler Units (Required)
Pediatric CPR and First Aid (Preferred)
Up-to-date Immunizations & Negative TB Test (Required)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
Familiarity with educational apps and tools
Experience working in a diverse, inclusive environment
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
Working Conditions
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
Frequent bending, squatting, and sitting on the floor
Physically active role requiring energy and stamina
Comfortable working in a busy and occasionally noisy classroom
Working Hours
Part-time and full-time positions available
Monday through Friday (Day shift only)
No nights or weekends
Compensation
$18.00 – $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 hours/week
Probation period: 6 months
