Summary
Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting. Infant Teachers must have knowledge of child development and be able to create age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. They must also communicate effectively with parents and be able to assess and report on each child’s progress. This is an entry-level position. Infant Teachers work under the supervision of Center Directors.
Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm
Duties
implement daily lesson plans that align with the developmental needs of infants
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for infants to grow and learn
Attend to the physical and emotional needs of infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting
Observe and document developmental progress of infants and communicate with parents/guardians regularly
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and education
Maintain a clean and organized classroom
Follow all state and federal regulations regarding infant care and education
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in infant care and education
Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience working with infants
Knowledge of infant development and care
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Patience and ability to handle high-stress situations
Experience working in a licensed child care facility
Strong understanding of child development and early education curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
