Position Details:

- Pay Rate:
- Licensed: Up to $55$60/hr
- Unlicensed: $35$40/hr
Requirements:
- DESE Moderate Disabilities License Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Minimum 1+ year teaching experience in an inclusion setting Required
Role Overview: This is a 1-year leave coverage position with potential for extension based on fit. The teacher will support grades 34 in a co-teaching inclusion classroom with a Amergis sum of 25 students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with IEPs in inclusive settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and differentiate lessons
- Modify curriculum to meet individual learning needs and IEP goals
- Adapt materials and assessments for accessibility and engagement
- Use data to monitor progress and adjust instruction
- Implement accommodations and behavior strategies per IEPs
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and parent communication
- Foster academic and social inclusion across school environments

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
