Summary Bethany High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics, foster critical thinking, and support students in achieving their academic goals. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student success.
Responsibilities - Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards and address diverse learning styles. - Teach various high school mathematics courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. - Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback and support. - Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, encouraging student participation and collaboration. - Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience. - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and teaching strategies. - Engage in school community activities and contribute to the overall mission of Bethany High School.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. - Valid state teaching certification in secondary mathematics. - Proven experience teaching high school mathematics, with a strong understanding of curriculum and assessment practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. - Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning. - A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. - Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents. - A passion for mathematics and a dedication to student achievement.
