We’re seeking an Essential Skills Teacher tolead a specialized classroom for elementary students, focusing on functionalacademics, communication, social-emotional development, and independence.You’ll work closely with a collaborative team and under the guidance of theSpecial Education Program Administrator to deliver individualized instructionand support.

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Grade Levels: Elementary (Essential Skills Classroom)

Pay: $46/hour + Full Benefits

Type: Full-Time

Start Date: ASAP

?? What You’ll Do:

Provide individualized instruction in essential academic and life skills

Support students in communication, behavior regulation, and daily routines

Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams

Develop and implement IEPs and progress monitoring plans

Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

? What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (preferred)

Valid Indiana teaching license with special education endorsement (required)

Experience working with students with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred)

Strong classroom management and communication skills

CPR certification and health screenings (as applicable)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
