High/Middle School Math Teacher (TRS Eligible)

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum B.A/B.S degree in teaching from an accredited institution in the appropriate education area.
Current Professional Educator License (PEL).
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, students, parents, staff, administration, and the general public.
Knowledge of relevant technology including the use of technology in the classroom.
Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
REPORTS TO: Upper School Principal POSITION SUMMARY: Plan and deliver comprehensive mathematics lessons tailored to the Illinois state standards and curriculum guidelines for middle or high school students.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, manipulatives, and technology tools to facilitate student understanding and engagement in mathematical concepts.
Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mathematical discourse, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and develop interdisciplinary connections.
Integrate real-world applications and relevant contexts into mathematics instruction to enhance student relevance and motivation.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance content knowledge, pedagogical skills, and instructional technology proficiency.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, academic performance, and support strategies.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior in accordance with school and district policies.
Implement and enforce classroom and school-wide procedures to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all students.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Classroom based with regular interaction throughout the school.
Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours.
PHYSICAL CONTEXT OF THE JOB: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift, move and/or support up to 50 pounds.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: $47,000 - $80,000
