Summary of Duties

DeWitt High School is seeking a secondary Social Studies teacher with an emphasis in history including Advanced Placement United States History.

Reports to

High School Principal

Qualifications/Requirements A valid MI Educator license with one or more of the following endorsements: Social Studies (RX) (CX) for secondary level (6th 12th grade)

A valid MI Educator license with a secondary endorsement

The ability and enthusiasm to effectively engage students and help them own their learning

Commitment to the success of ALL students and the ability to differentiate lessons for students

Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, creative and collaborative skills

Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students

Expertise in utilizing technology in a transformative manner to support instruction Compensation

Compensation to be paid per DEA Contract, district may recognize up to 3 years of service
