Are you Passionate about leading and educating the next generation? Calvary Chapel High School is looking a High School Senior English and British Literature teacher. This Position is for the 2025-2026 School Year and is expected to start late July, early August.

Position Purpose / Summary
As the Calvary Chapel HighSchool (CCHS) Senior English and British Literature teacher, you would be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing a robust instructional program that would guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their academic and spiritual potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. They will be a minister of the Gospel in this position by ministering and praying for and with the students and parents as well as being an example to the staff, students, and parents.
Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks Agree with and live out the vision and values of CCCM as outlined in the Statement of Faith (www.cccm.com). Be an example to those with whom you come in contact and with whom you serve by exuding the love of Christ. Understand that it is a privilege to serve the Lord in vocational ministry and that those who serve God on staff at CCCM are expected to embrace a high biblical, Christ-like standard of conduct and lifestyle, both public and personal. Develop and implement Literature, Grammar, and Composition lesson plans and instructional activities that promote active learning and student engagement. Utilize prescribed curriculum to set and communicate clear objectives for learning activities. Monitor and support student progress through timely feedback and instructional adjustments. Maintain accurate records of student performance and development in the SIS system. Communicate regularly with parents, students, and colleagues regarding academic progress and needs. Contribute to the teaching and learning community outside the classroom through participation in meetings, committee involvement, and supervision of enrolled students while on campus.
Knowledge Skills and Ability Required: Bachelor's degree in English, Education with an English emphasis, or a related field from an accredited institution. California teaching credential in English (Single Subject) Deep understanding of English literature, composition, and grammar across a variety of genres and periods. Ability to teach analytical and creative writing, critical reading, and literary analysis at the high school level. Experience developing curriculum aligned with standards and school values. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to collaborate professionally and maintain effective working relationships. Demonstrated punctuality and reliability in a professional setting
