Walsingham Academy has a full time opening for a high school Science Teacher for the school year.

Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality instruction in the content area. They plan, prepare, and deliver lessons with rigor and relevance. Additionally, they create and analyze formative and summative assessments to differentiate instruction, inform programming, and accommodate individual students and whole group needs. In addition to the core academic curriculum, Walsingham teachers are responsible for supporting the development of students' social & emotional learning and wellness. Walsingham teachers must demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional integrity as all teachers are role models for our students. Compensation commensurate with experience.

Ideal Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree minimum. Education degree preferred. Must hold or eligible for Virginia teaching certificate (unless you teach theology or possess a Doctorate in the content area). Demonstrated successful high school instructional experience. Must be willing to enforce all Walsingham Academy student-parent handbook policies within the classroom setting. Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check, acquire introductory mandatory child abuse prevention training, and participate in ongoing training in this area. Walsingham Academy desires candidates who are "all in" and are interested in actively engaging with student activities beyond the classroom in a variety of extra-curricular opportunities.
