The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Education Department is now accepting applications for the - academic year to fill the following Full-Time Term position based out of Sally Ross School (SRS) in Hall Lake, SK:

HIGH SCHOOL MATH/SCIENCE TEACHER

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties: Use appropriate teaching aides and techniques, in order to meet basic Saskatchewan curriculum standards;

Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual needs of students;

Attend staff/community/School Committee/parent-teacher meetings and in-service workshops to develop a greater understanding of community aspirations and improvement of personal teaching competencies;

Participate in operation of the school extracurricular program;

Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor. The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional “A” teaching certificate;

Experience in teaching high school math and sciences;

Accreditation is an asset;

Excellent classroom management skills;

Ability to teach students of varying abilities;

Cross – Cultural experience is an asset;

Must have Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;

Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract;

Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector check;
