High School History Teacher

The High School History Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging, standards-based lessons in U.S. and/or World History. The teacher will encourage critical thinking, historical inquiry, and a deep understanding of the forces that shape our world—past and present. Key Responsibilities Teach multiple sections of History courses, which may include U.S. History, World History, Civics, or electives. Guides the learning process towards the achievement of curriculum goals and within the content of these goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects with the ability to communicate these objectives effectively to students. Design lessons that promote active learning and the development of analytical skills. Incorporate various instructional strategies, including the use of primary sources, project-based learning, and technology. Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and Rise Academy. Assists in designing, upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and Rise Academy Administrative Policies. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and orderly classroom environment. Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with students and their parents. Regularly assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and student support. Participate in school events, professional development, and community-building activities. PI48fbc6da454e-25448-38210479
