- Hold or be eligible for current CT State certification English/Language Arts (015)
- Collaborate and establish positive relationships with students, teachers, building administrators, parents, and district leaders.
- Assess student needs and providing support or extra resources to struggling students as well as exceptional achievers.
- Actively involve students in the classroom through group work, project-based learning, exploration, questioning, discussion, and other cooperative teaching techniques.
- Utilize best practice instructional strategies and research-based intervention curriculum materials to meet the learning needs all students
- Integrate technology, including google classroom seamlessly into teaching strategies and practices
- Analyze existing student achievement data to drive instruction.
- Maintain accurate student records, parent communications records and student progress data.
- Maintain proper professional conduct as defined in the Connecticut Code of Professional Responsibilities for Teachers.
