Ateres Bnos Ita - Girls' high school in Summerlin is seeking a passionate and creative Biology Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 school year, teaching 9th and 10th grade biology, with a focus on anatomy & physiology. This position includes 5 periods per week—3 single periods and one double period for labs—with responsibility for both instruction and lab preparation.

We are looking for an educator who brings energy, clarity, and curiosity to science instruction and who is excited to make biology come alive for students. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong classroom presence , a love of learning, and the ability to design engaging, hands-on lab experiences that deepen student understanding.

Responsibilities:

Teach 9th and 10th grade biology, including 3 weekly single periods and 1 double lab period

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that promote scientific inquiry and critical thinking

Prepare and facilitate hands-on, student-centered lab experiences that reinforce course content

Foster a warm, positive classroom environment where students feel confident and curious

Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners

Regularly assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

Collaborate with faculty to support schoolwide educational goals and best practices

Stay current on trends in science education and bring fresh ideas to the classroom

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

Experience teaching high school biology and leading lab-based instruction

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Enthusiasm for making science meaningful, exciting, and accessible to students

Organized, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively

A passion for education and helping students succeed both academically and personally
