Hillel Day School of Metro Detroit is seeking a passionate, creative, and skilled Hebrew teacher (part-time) to join our dynamic team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator who loves working with children, embraces Jewish values, and is excited about creating an engaging, immersive Hebrew language environment.

Responsibilities:

Teach Hebrew language classes (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) to middle school students
Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with ACTFL standards
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
Foster a classroom culture that promotes respect, curiosity, and a love of the Hebrew language

Requirements

Native or near-native fluency in Hebrew
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a Jewish day school or immersion setting
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Familiarity with current language instruction methodologies and technologies
