*Certification Requirements (Review Before Applying)*

* Must hold one of the following NJDOE certifications in Health & Physical Education: CE, CEAS, Provisional, or Standard . (For information on out‑of‑state certification reciprocity and equivalency, visit the NJDOE guide: https://www.nj.gov/education/certification/reciprocity/)
* *CE or CEAS certificate holders are encouraged to apply! *Note the NJ DOE requires applicants to already possess their CE or CEAS before we are able to offer employment as a teacher. We support your progression toward Standard status through tuition reimbursement, mentorship, and structured certification guidance.
* Driver Education certificate (CEAS or Standard) – preferred but not required
* NJ Criminal History clearance and tuberculin testing
*Work Schedule & Compensation*
* Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM (no nights or weekends except Back-to-School Night )
* Term: 10‑month academic year; potential summer employment during our Extended School Year is offered under a separate employment agreement representing additional compensation
* Salary: Starting at $55,000, reflecting entry‑level placement. Placement above this is based on factors such as certification status, advanced degree or related coursework, and years of relevant experience.
*Certification & Professional Growth Support*
* Tuition reimbursement: up to $2,000/year toward bachelor’s coursework; up to $4,000/year for master’s degree or NJDOE certification (including alternate-route preparation)
