BACKGROUND Gymboree Play & Music is the world’s leading parent-child interactive play, music, and arts program for children ages newborn to five years. In 2016, we celebrated 40 years of bringing play, music, arts, and learning to families across the United States and around the world! RESPONSIBILITIES Programming Facilitate parent-child interactive activities. Teach birthday parties once fully trained. Lesson plan according to Gymboree curriculum. Achieve sales goals by using features and benefits of Gymboree to provide information and sell enrollments, merchandise, birthday parties, and special events to new and existing customers. Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet, and service customers. Assist with off-site grassroots events (e.g., Gymboree Retail Store, local community events). Operations Work with our online database management system. Attend designated staff meetings and training sessions. Maintain site standards, including cleaning, stocking, pricing merchandise, and helping with equipment set changes. Note: Gymboree Play & Music provides all necessary training. KEY SKILLS AND TRAITS Experience working with children aged 0-5 years preferred. Strong group leadership skills. Customer service orientation. Team player. Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. and move play equipment. Clean, professional appearance. Flexibility. HOURS Part-time positions available with a flexible schedule; classes are held weekdays, evenings, and weekends. COMPENSATION Starting pay depends on experience. Paid training is $12 per hour, increasing to $13 per hour upon successful completion of training (~6 weeks). Benefits include free Gymboree classes and discounts at Gymboree Retail Stores.
