A GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) Associate Teacher works with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting, supporting the lead teacher in implementing the curriculum and creating a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson planning, interacting with children, maintaining a safe environment, and communicating with families.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with Instruction: Supporting the lead teacher in delivering educational activities and lessons.
Classroom Management: Helping to maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment.
Child Interaction: Engaging with children, fostering their social and emotional development, and providing individualized support.
Communication: Collaborating with the lead teacher and communicating with families about student progress and needs.
Curriculum Implementation: Assisting in the preparation and execution of lesson plans and activities.
Child Assessment: Observing and documenting student progress and performance.
Professional Development: Participating in ongoing training and professional growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education:
An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or the equivalent, or a CDA credential.
Experience:
Experience working with preschool-aged children in an early childhood setting.
Skills:
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Knowledge:
Understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Understanding of the GSRP Curriculum - Creative Curriculum.
