An opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to support students across all grade levels, from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This role focuses on providing tailored educational experiences to students with diverse learning needs within a K-12 school setting. The position is based in York, PA and surrounding Lancaster areas, offering a contract for the school year. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades K-12 Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive learning environments Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with families Foster a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth Qualifications & Experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification (not accepting emergency certifications currently) Experience teaching across multiple grade levels (K-5, 6-8, 9-12) preferred Strong understanding of K-12 special education curriculum and best practices Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs Excellent communication and organizational skills Location: York, PA and surrounding Lancaster areas This contract position spans the traditional school year and accommodates multiple openings throughout the K-12 spectrum.
