A K-12 opportunity is available for a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in the Newark, NY area. This position serves students across all grade levelsK-5, 6-8, and 9-12with an itinerant caseload. This contract role covers the current school year (CSY). Key qualifications include: Valid New York State Certification in Blind and Partially Sighted education Preferred: Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist certification Experience working with students who are visually impaired across grades K-12 Ability to provide tailored instruction and support to meet diverse student needs Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across multiple grade levels Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments and monitor student progress in orientation, mobility, and other visual skills Travel between schools within the district to provide itinerant services Location: Newark, New York (K-12 School Setting) Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and weekly pay.
