St. Ambrose Academy is a small Catholic School in Rochester, NY. We have been educating students for over 100 years. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Fourth/Fifth Grade Teacher to join our team. As a St. Ambrose Academy Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young learners and providing them with a solid foundation for their education. You will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment, implementing educational programs, and fostering the intellectual and social development of students.

Duties: – Plan and deliver lessons in all content areas, including: Religion, Social Studies and ELA lessons based on curriculum guidelines and educational standards to fourth and fifth grade students – Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth – Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to enhance students’ cognitive, physical, and social skills – Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development – Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students – Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, performance, and behavior – Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a safe and productive learning environment – Utilize technology and other instructional resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Experience: – Bachelor’s degree in Education – Valid teaching certification or license – Experience working with children in an educational setting. Strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of literacy education and interest in social studies concepts- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues – Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students – Excellent organizational skills to manage lesson planning, grading, and administrative tasks If you are passionate about educating young minds and making a positive impact on their lives, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
