The Fourth Grade Teacher is responsible for teaching mathematics, language arts, social studies, and the social curriculum to a self-contained classroom of up to 15 students. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with two grade level teaching partners and with specialist teachers. A creative, innovative, and dedicated teacher, this individual is passionate about teaching to the whole child, experienced in project-based learning, and interested in field trip planning, service integration, and extra-curricular availability. Knowledge of and teaching experience with a structured literacy curriculum in the upper elementary grades is preferred as is experience in teaching mathematics through investigation, exploration, and concept building.
