Key Duties Food Technology: Develop and deliver an engaging Years 7-10 Food Technology curriculum aligned with standards, covering cooking skills, nutrition, and food safety. Instruct students in safe kitchen practices, equipment use, and hygiene, promoting a clean and organized learning environment. Integrate up-to-date industry trends and nutrition education to encourage healthy eating habits. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance program quality and student learning outcomes. Plan and deliver engaging Years 7-10 Textiles lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE. Teach garment construction, fabric properties, sustainable fashion, and design principles through theory and hands-on learning. Demonstrate textile techniques and ensure safe use of tools and equipment in practical sessions. Assess student work, provide feedback, and maintain accurate progress records. Skills & Experience: Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia Hold a valid VIT registration Experience in Food technology or Textiles advantageous- graduates welcome to apply Understanding of the Vic Curriculum- experience teaching in Vic/Australia Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree containing a teaching qualification, with further study an advantage Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years from upper management An understanding and appreciation of Catholic teachings, values, and traditions are essential for teaching within the Catholic system, or a preparedness to be working within this system Offering: Start from Term 3, 2025 Instructing students in years 7-10 Teaching Food Technology or Textiles- but open to combining these methods Collaborating with approachable and transparent leadership Experience a unique College among nature, with contemporary facilities and historic sites.
