Position Title: Floater / On-Call Substitute Teacher (Grades K–12) Compensation Rate: $25 per hour Location: Wilmington, DE 19805

Focused Staffing Group is hiring dedicated and flexible Floater/On-Call Substitute Teachers to support a charter school in Delaware. About the Role As a Floater or On-Call Substitute Teacher , you’ll step into K–12 classrooms to ensure learning continues seamlessly when full-time teachers are unavailable. You’ll have the chance to work across various subjects and grade levels, supported by a collaborative team and clearly defined schedules.

What You’ll Do Lead classroom instruction using provided lesson plans Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Support diverse learners with patience and flexibility Manage classroom behavior and foster positive student relationships Provide timely feedback on student progress and maintain required records Collaborate with staff and school leadership as needed Adapt to different classrooms and learning styles with confidence

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred) Prior experience in a K–12 classroom or school setting strongly preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Reliable and able to work with short notice during school hours
