Job Overview: We are seeking a caring and dedicated full-time Family Teacher to provide academic, emotional, and developmental support for school-age children. This role requires close collaboration with schools, tutoring staff, and other family members to create a structured, diverse, and balanced learning and living environment for the child. The ideal candidate will offer personalized academic support (bilingual in English and Chinese), help establish positive daily routines, and promote the child’s holistic development through customized learning and individual guidance. Key Responsibilities: Guide students in core subjects, assist with homework and exam preparation, design personalized teaching plans, and support bilingual learning. Coordinate learning plans and communicate with schools to monitor academic progress. Arrange and supervise extracurricular activities and interest development to foster well-rounded growth. Provide emotional support in the absence of parents, creating a caring environment aligned with the family’s culture. Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly learning and living environment, and regularly report student progress to parents. Accompany the family on trips to provide continuous educational support. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. At least 5 years of teaching or tutoring experience, preferably with an international or bilingual school background. Proficient in both English and Chinese (both languages are core teaching subjects) and deal with Mandarin speaking stakeholders. Familiarity with the Singapore education system and international school curricula. Passion for children’s education, with patience, attentiveness, and a proactive attitude. Excellent organizational and communication skills, able to build trust and good relationships with children and parents. Ability to work independently as well as efficiently within a family team.
