An opportunity is available for an experienced ESL Teacher to work within an elementary school setting in North Tonawanda, NY. This contract position will cover the entire school year, providing essential support to young learners developing their English language skills. The role focuses on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for elementary students who are English language learners (ELLs). Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement tailored ESL lesson plans that align with curriculum standards Assess and monitor student progress in language acquisition and adjust teaching methods accordingly Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support student success Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere to encourage student participation Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and areas for support Desired Qualifications and Experience: Certification or licensure in ESL or TESOL teaching Experience teaching English as a second language, particularly at the elementary level Strong understanding of language acquisition and instructional strategies for ELLs Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' needs Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Location: North Tonawanda, NY Position Type: Contract
