Learn more about us at https://learn4life.org/ How You Will Make an Impact The Teacher Position will plan, organize and implement an appropriate personalized instructional program in a learning environment that guides, supports, and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, complete diploma requirements, and develop post-secondary transition plans. This position will collaborate with other instructional staff and school personnel. Responsibilities/Duties Develop, review, and update personalized academic plans based on transcripts, assessments, career pathways (CTE), and post-secondary goals. Create and maintain an effective learning environment by modeling positive behavior, upholding high academic expectations, and fostering professional relationships. Meet with students as scheduled and deliver instruction, support goal-setting, monitor progress, and prepare students for graduation. Assign courses, refer students to subject teachers, and establish clear learning objectives. Plan and deliver instructional activities, provide diverse learning materials, and implement strategies to meet student needs. Engage students in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication, connecting learning to real-world experiences. Assess student work, provide feedback, and monitor individual progress. Use technology to support instruction and accommodate students with special needs. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress and needs. Manage student behavior and facilitate parent conferences. Maintain accurate records, monitor attendance and credit completion, and prepare report cards. Collaborate with colleagues for professional development and school improvement. Participate in meetings, training, and adhere to policies for incident reporting. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of California Teaching Standards and educational technology. Ability to differentiate instruction and work effectively with diverse populations. Strong communication, organizational, and judgment skills. Minimum Qualifications: Valid California Single or Multiple Subject Credential or intern eligibility. Bachelors degree with relevant coursework. English Learner Authorization. Successful completion of the California Basic Skills Exam. Enrollment in a teacher preparation program with student teaching experience. Proficiency in MS Word and Email. Physical Requirements: High workflow management, fine motor skills for typing, and effective communication abilities. Average hearing and visual acuity for typical office and classroom environments. Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs., multi-tasking, and working in a noisy environment.
