Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring English Language Teachers to provide in-person lessons to our clients.

Job Information:

  • Ref: 188093

  • Student: one adult learner – in-person (option to combine with online if convenient)

  • Location: Big Sky Lane, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

  • Availability: Tuesday and Thursday, between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm

  • Preferred start date: August 5, 2025

  • Lesson Frequency: 2 times per week

  • Lesson Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours per lesson

  • Student’s location/time zone: Eastern Standard Time (EST)

  • Current target language level: Advanced (assessment requested)

  • Native and other spoken languages: Polish, English, and French

Student’s language needs and goals:
The student would like to reach fluency (C1) and may take an exam as a motivational goal. She is seeking:

  • Pronunciation improvement and cultural immersion

  • Confidence speaking with native speakers

  • Practical, everyday English including:

    • Local accents and common native expressions

    • Conversations and feedback sharing

    • Politeness, holiday customs, school and parenting systems

    • Presentations, job interviews, business culture, and vocabulary

    • Hobbies, shopping, cooking traditional food, and going to the doctor
      She enjoys content tied to her interests and prefers less focus on grammar. She’s looking for a motivating, engaging teacher to help her feel confident enough to re-enter the job market.

Additional Information:

  • Prefers an enthusiastic, positive, and motivating instructor

  • Open to combining face-to-face and online lessons as long as it’s convenient

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons

  • Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes

  • Monitoring student’s progress and guiding toward learning goals

  • Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

  • Native or near‑native written and spoken proficiency in English

  • Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second‑language acquisition, or related field

  • Minimum of two years of experience

  • Experience teaching advanced-level students and test preparation is preferred
