ELD (English Language Development) TEACHER
DISTRICTWIDE
1.0 FTE
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in area of responsibility with appropriate endorsement (NS)
English Language Development teaching experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in area of major study.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Design and implement daily lesson plans
Provide individualized and/or small group instructions for students in the English Language Development program
Provide guidance and support to teachers regarding appropriate accommodations and scaffolds for multilingual learners
Administer state required assessments and screeners for multilingual students
Attend professional learning focusing on multilingual learners as assigned
Collaborate with other English Language Development staff members
Collect and analyze data relevant to multilingual students
Build upon the cultural and linguistic assets of English Learners to support equitable educational opportunities
Maintain records per the requirements of state and federal supplemental grants
May involve daily travel between two buildings
Other duties as assigned
SALARY:
Per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement
