Position : Elementary Teacher Classification : Salaried Exempt Reports to : Elementary Principal About the Role: Lenawee Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate elementary teacher to join our academic team. The teacher will play a crucial role in nurturing the academic, social and spiritual development of our students. As a key member of our faculty, the successful candidate will inspire students to grow in their faith, understanding of biblical principles, and critical thinking skills. Key Responsibilities:

* Teaching:

* Uphold and model Christian values in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.

* Create a positive and supportive atmosphere where each child feels valued and respected.

* Provide engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in subjects such as language arts, math, science, and social studies.

* Plan and implement small group instruction to meet individual student goals.

* Foster a love for learning through hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive projects.

* Develop and implement effective lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.

* Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with parents on student progress.

* Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experience

* Abide by standards of conduct and behavior as outlined in the employee handbook.

* Use communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey biblical concepts and teachings.

* Contribute to the school's overall mission and participate in extracurricular activities. Qualifications:

* Christian Faith:

* Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

* Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.

* Educational Background:

* Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education

* Valid teaching certification; Michigan certification preferred.
