Elementary Teacher

DUTIES:
1. Perform instructional duties within a self-contained classroom that achieve maximum progress from all students
2. Other related duties as required and/or assigned by the Principal/Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. California Multiple Subjects Credential, NCLB and CLAD are required
2. Ability to establish and maintain a quality learning environment
3. Must submit to TB Test, Fingerprinting/Background check and pre-employment physical ( required before being employed with the District ).
4. CPR/First Aid Certification
5. Experience teaching primary grades
6. Ability to demonstrate effective use of current instructional
techniques and strategies
7. Strong knowledge of California content standards and familiarity with Common Core Standards
8. Commitment to continuous improvement as a professional educator
9. Ability to collaborate and work harmoniously with an instructional team
10. Ability and willingness to coach and/or assist with extra-curricular activity programs is desirable
11. Must be able to deal with a wide range of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, friendliness, and poise
12. Ability to maintain positive relationships with staff, parents and students is essential
