Summary Taholah Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time Elementary Teacher. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment for students in grades K-5, promoting academic excellence and social-emotional development. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to ensure that every child reaches their full potential.

Responsibilities - Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students. - Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. - Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods and provide constructive feedback. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. - Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to design and improve curriculum and instructional strategies. - Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational trends. - Manage classroom behavior effectively and implement positive discipline strategies. - Support the social and emotional development of students through guidance and mentorship. - Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities. - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. - Valid teaching certification for elementary education. - Strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching methodologies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans. - Proficient in using technology for educational purposes. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful classroom environment. - Experience in teaching elementary students is preferred, but not required. - CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
