Under the supervision of the school principal, the teacher will develop students' knowledge and understanding of world cultures and cultural evolution. This includes building research skills in social orders and developing awareness of geographical, historical, cultural, and political factors that influence world societies, socio-economic systems, and political systems, as well as their inter-relationships and interdependence. Position Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field Experience Prior successful classroom experience OR A combination of education and experience Other Requirements Hold or obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card with IVP level clearance Essential Job Tasks Plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students within the school curriculum Use effective teaching techniques and materials aligned with curriculum goals and objectives Create weekly written lesson plans describing daily learning experiences Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents Diagnose, instruct, and evaluate specific student needs and collaborate with district specialists as needed Communicate objectives to students in a clear and organized manner Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for student maturity and interests Working Conditions Work primarily occurs in a classroom setting Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds Education Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in Education Licenses & Certifications Required: IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Preferred: Elementary Certification (Grades 1-8)
