Job Summary
Observe, evaluate, and provide positive and actionable feedback to elementary field-experience students and student teachers.
Responsibilities
● Observe and provide feedback on a regular basis to students in field experience or student teaching. ● Lead triad meetings with the cooperating teacher and the student teacher. ● Be a liaison between the school and Bethel University with regard to the performance and professional traits of the student teacher and serve as a strong role model. ● Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline.

● Ability to provide mentoring relationships built on trust in order to develop effective learning environments for reflection and growth in teaching. ● Ability to communicate professionally and effectively across leadership levels and with student teachers. ● Ability to build positive relationships with administrators and teachers as they work together. ● Understanding of and commitment to Bethel’s efforts to develop as an inclusive university community.
Experience
Completed at least 5 years of experience as a teacher of record in the scope/content.
Education
Master’s Degree in related field of study (required). Holds or has held a professional teaching license aligned to either the licensure scope or content/field sought by the student teaching.
