Elementary Chorus Teacher (Grade 3/4)

QUALIFICATIONS :
Successful experience is preferred teaching students with a wide range of abilities, interests and needs
Pro?ciency preferred in beginner voice instruction
Positive, energetic, and ?exible approach to a process-based and inclusive style of instruction/rehearsal
Demonstrated pro?cient-to-advance skill in the use of Internet, G-Mail and the Google Suite
RESPONSIBILITIES: Instruct students in a rehearsal setting once/twice per week before or after school
Implement a variety of teaching techniques to ensure student achievement and engagement
Develop and implement FPS Music curriculum objectives based on the FPS music curriculum and state frameworks
Maintain all attendance and grade records
Program, organize and conduct school concert(s) and other community events in and outside the regular school schedule throughout the year
Use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, materials, and music technology that re?ects an understanding of vocal and general music content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, diverse learning styles, assessment strategies and culturally responsive teaching
Increase student achievement by conducting ongoing student formative and summative assessments and adjust teaching accordingly
Increase student retention by providing leadership and responsibility in the development and building of a sequential vocal program in conjunction with the Fine Arts Department Head such as: developing and implementing recruitment strategies, monitoring current o?erings, student eligibility and other requirements
Accept supervision and guidance from the Fine Arts Department Head and Principal
