Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging ELA curriculum aligned with state standards. Provide targeted support and interventions to help students improve reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Use data to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet individual needs. Collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Foster a love for literature and writing while addressing the developmental needs of high school students. Incorporate trauma-informed practices into instruction to support students' emotional and academic well-being. Utilize technology to enhance student engagement and learning. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies. Qualifications: Must hold valid Michigan Teaching Certificate Must be certified to teach at the High school level English Language Arts (BX) or (BA) endorsements required Experience teaching ELA or working with at-risk students (preferred). Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. Self-motivated, reliable, and flexible. Proficiency in using educational technology tools and platforms. Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
