QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree and Certification in ELA (5-8) and/or Elementary (1-6) REPORTS TO: Supervisor of English RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Supervisor of ELA and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, the lead teacher shall: Provide leadership with the implementation of curriculum programs. Provide support in the progress, efficiency, and quality English instruction. Communicate with administrators regarding teachers' questions and/or concerns related to program implementation. Assist with facilitation of monthly PLC meetings and coordinate activities among English teachers. Work with building principals and Supervisor of English to make specific recommendations regarding program implementation. Meet regularly with building principals and Supervisor of English. Attend meetings outside of the regular work day as required. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor of English.
