Are you passionate about sharing the Gospel with young children and fostering their spiritual growth? Cornerstone Church is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Ministry Classroom Teachers to join our team. As a part of our ministry, you will play a vital role in creating a Christ-centered, safe, and loving environment where children can grow in their faith, learn Bible stories, and experience the love of God.
Key Responsibilities
Encourage children's spiritual growth, focusing on Christian values such as love, kindness, and respect.
Teach Bible stories, songs, and lead prayers to young children, nurturing their relationship with God.
Prepare and organize materials and resources for lessons, crafts, and other activities.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's lessons, activities, and behavior.
Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and ready for each lesson, maintaining a welcoming environment.
Properly store and maintain all teaching materials, toys, and supplies, ensuring their cleanliness and safety.
Foster a classroom atmosphere that reflects Christian principles and is safe, engaging, and positive.
Collaborate with other teachers, volunteers, and ministry staff to coordinate activities, events, and initiatives.
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, snack time, and other activities, promoting social skills and positive behavior.
Perform other duties as required to support the ministry's overall mission.
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent.
For employees who are still attending high school and have not yet graduated, documentation verifying current enrollment may be required.
Skills and Abilities Strong Christian faith and commitment to sharing the Gospel with children in an age-appropriate manner.
Ability to effectively engage with and communicate with young children, creating a nurturing environment for growth.
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about fostering spiritual and educational development in children.
Ability to work well within a team, collaborating with the Early Childhood Ministry Director and other staff members.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employees will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, and more than 40 pounds infrequently with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule
This position requires varied hours on Sundays, typically between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, depending on service times and ministry needs. Flexibility in scheduling is important to accommodate different services and events.
Casual status roles may work up to 25 hours per week.
