Site Lead (Director)means the person responsible for the overall management of a center early learning program including the facility, staff, and operation, setting appropriate program and staff expectations. SiteLeads are responsible for implementing the center early learning program. Leads develop and provide a nurturing and responsive learning environment that meets the needs of enrolled children.
Duties
Responsibilities
oFlexibility and adaptability with your roll, Step into ratio when needed.
oMaintain a clean and tidy center, maintenance updatesandremove potential hazards to ensure the safety, cleanliness order of the facilityconsistent with the health and safety standards.
Organize center and arrange an environment that is clutter-free, engaging and eye appealing.
oHave an understanding of child development and best practices in ECE.
oKnow how to create meaningful partnerships with families.
oMaintain a financially self-sufficient facility.
oHire and retain quality team members and orientate new hires.
oEstablish short- and long-term goals with your team.
oFocus of efficiency and effectiveness.
oTake care of the daily schedule, breaks, vacations, and substitutes.
oConflict resolution with parents or team members
oPerform any inspections/interviews with all Authoritative Departments.
oParticipate in team bonding events, trainings, conferences, continue to grow in your professional development in ECE administration.
oBe approachable and Be coachable.
oPerform some technology tasks including but not limited to; Audit electronic sign-ins, Keep Merit accounts current, participate on KZStrong, Participate in the Leads Chat, Facebook Biz page, Brightwheel, TimeTree and Audit cameras occasionally.
oCommunicate professionally in KZStrong, Facebook Biz page, Brightwheel TimeTree as well as effectively in person to parents, staff, Leadership Team, and Licensors/CPS.
oProvide monthly information through KidZone Newsletters.
oImplement all policies and procedures.
oProvide outstanding customer service to potential clients.
oKeep organized records of student and staff files, policies, staff meeting agendas, account ledgers current and any other necessary administrative paperwork.
oConfidently hold trainings and carry out regular staff meeting with your teachers and your in-house Leadership Team.
oHave outstanding crisis management (In Emergency)
oMeet with EA Specialist regularly.
oTrain and maintain the leadership structure.
Requirements
It is a high priority of KidZone to prepare this young minds for the next level of education by using Teaching Strategies Gold curriculum and encouraging the best opportunities for STEM projects, hands on experience and social emotional learning through child or teacher led activities.
We are looking for qualified engaging teachers to use the best practices and educational methods to contribute towards the healthy development of the whole child as well as State requirements.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
Childcare experience preferred
ECE Education (Certificates Initial, Short or AA Degrees) - minimum of 45 credits
STARS Basic 30 (Continued annual STARS) Valid STARS ID/Merit
Cleared DCYF Background Check

First Aid/CPR Infant/Child
Food Handlers
Bloodborne pathogens/HIV

While preforming the duties of this job, employees may frequently stand, walk, bend, run, kneel at child's level, sit on the floor, lift children up to a preschool age, move light furnishings
Desired Skills
Must understand the principles of child development, excellent communication skills, reliability and have the ability to lead a group of children without an assistant. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner, demonstrate competency to implement program activities and a structured schedule.
Supervision is imperative. Be present during your shift, not just physically, but mentally as well to ensure a safe learning environment.
Must work within the guidelines of TSG lesson plans, assessments, observations, intentional teaching, family engagements.
Self-Motivated and independent yet proven ability to engage, inspire and collaborate with our team of teachers. Must be approachable with In House Support and Leadership Team.
Strong organizational skills and able to multi task.
Create intentional learning environments, rotating toys, books, posters to be consistent with curriculum as well as change or add new props and themes to the environment settings.
Must have technical skills such as using social media, Brightwheel, the cloud TSG, chatrooms for communication.
Nice To Haves
3 – 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
High energy.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
A strong understanding of child development.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
