This opportunity is for an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher working with students aged 3 to 5 in an inclusive classroom setting. The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 17 students, supported by two paraprofessionals to assist in delivering tailored educational experiences. The daily schedule runs from 7:20 AM to 2:50 PM, Monday through Friday. The curriculum is pre-designed by the school with instruction guided by the Learning Experiences Alternative Program (LEAP). Key responsibilities include: Planning, writing, and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students. Collaborating with related services staff to ensure holistic support for each child. Utilizing inclusive teaching strategies to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. Maintaining clear and consistent communication with families and support staff. Applying knowledge of Early Childhood Special Education to meet individual student needs. Qualifications and desired experience: Valid Oregon State License with a Special Education PK-12 Endorsement is required. Proven experience and comfort in writing and implementing IEPs. Familiarity with the Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP) is preferred. Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals and families.
