We seek experienced Early Childhood Educators to inspire, nurture, and guide our preschoolers within our enchanting Reggio Emilia inspired campus.
As a valued member of our teaching team, you'll engage in collaborative endeavors in the true spirit of Reggio pedagogy with a co-teacher. You'll have the opportunity to both contribute to and lead projects aimed at enriching children's education while fostering a deeper connection with the natural world.
Duties
The ideal candidate innovates and enjoys the following:
Engaging with children ages 2.5 to 5 years old to explore “100 languages.”
Loves being a co-researcher with children and other educators to develop a variety of learning experiences in all domains of development.
Observe children’s interests and develop projects in the Reggio Way.
Cares about nature and environmental stewardship, spending at least 50% of the time outdoors.
Aptitude for integrating language arts and numeracy into teaching practices.
Is able to foster relationships within the group to inspire every child to grow intellectually with curiosity, socially with respect, and emotionally with agency.
Requirements
Child Development Associate's degree or
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or
Extensive experience in early education/ child care centers.
Practiced usage of the Tennessee Early Childhood Developmental Standards.
Dedication to ongoing professional growth.
Ability to document learning experiences through both words and photographs.
Physical resilience for outdoor activities, including hiking, and tolerance for encounters with insects including ticks, coupled with a genuine love for wildlife.
Effective communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
Patience and effective tools for supporting children's social-emotional development.
Skills in establishing meaningful rituals, fostering care for one another and the environment.
Space and time management skills.
