Summary
Villa's Childcare Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for helping the Lead Teacher create a nurturing and engaging learning environment, developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, and fostering the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.
This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to upholding our center's mission of providing high-quality childcare and education. The assistant Teacher will maintain classroom safety and organization, and build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
- Maintain clear and respectful communication with families and staff.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing standards, health, and safety regulations.
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Registry Level (Wisconsin Early Childhood Career Levels) 5 or higher preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Passion for early childhood education and child development.
- Willing to take additional regulatory training.
