Summary
Wee Know School is a Nationally Accredited and 5 Star YoungStar center. We are looking for a compassionate, outgoing and dedicated individual for an assistant teacher position. Our school provides care for children ages 2 1/2 yrs. through 4K during the school year (Sept. - May), and to children 3 yrs. through 3rd grade bound in the summer. Children are placed in one classroom with a teaching team for the entire school year. Candidate hired must provide the children with a safe, loving and nurturing environment. Assistant teachers support lead teachers in the preparation of lesson plans, implementation of plan including preparation, set-up, and clean-up, maintaining individual child portfolios (observations, portfolio entries, evidence of activities reflecting developmental growth, etc.) and sharing observations with lead teacher to maintain a cohesive teaching team. Engagement with children is important. Working with individual, small and large groups is part of the daily routine.
