A school district in Buda, TX, is seeking a dedicated dyslexia instructor for a full school year contract serving K-12 students. This role focuses on providing specialized reading instruction to approximately 20 students diagnosed with dyslexia, using programs such as Basic Language Skills and Reading by Design. The position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted reading instruction tailored to students with dyslexia.
Promote student self-advocacy skills in managing their learning needs.
Prepare and present detailed documentation and findings for ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings.
Collaborate with educational teams to support individualized education plans.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid Texas Department of Education teaching license.
Minimum of two years of experience working with dyslexic students.
Proficient in implementing Basic Language Skills or Reading by Design curriculum.
Strong organizational and documentation skills to support compliance with ARD requirements.
