Provide specialized instructional support to students with dyslexia in a K-12 school setting, focusing on enhancing literacy and self-advocacy skills. This full academic year contract position involves working closely with approximately 20 students, utilizing structured programs such as Basic Language Skills or Reading by Design to drive reading success. Key Responsibilities: Deliver targeted dyslexia intervention lessons aligned with Basic Language Skills or Reading by Design curricula. Monitor student progress and maintain thorough, accurate documentation to support instructional decisions. Prepare and present data, assessments, and instructional updates at Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings. Foster a supportive environment that encourages student self-advocacy and independence. Collaborate with educational teams to tailor strategies that address individual student needs. Qualifications: Valid Texas Department of Education teaching license. Minimum of 2 years of experience working specifically with dyslexic students. Proficiency in Reading by Design or Basic Language Skills instructional programs. Strong organizational and documentation skills to effectively support ARD processes. Location & Schedule: Position based in Kyle, TX. Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM.
