A full-time position is available for an experienced Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, serving K-12 learners in Moreno Valley, CA. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational outcomes of students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, audiologists, and general educators, to support student success.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Implement and manage assistive technology and specialized resources.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching credentials with authorization for Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
Experience teaching K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Strong knowledge of educational strategies, language acquisition, and communication modes (e.g., sign language, auditory-verbal techniques).
Ability to create inclusive classroom environments that promote student engagement and achievement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
