An educational opportunity is available for a part-time Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, working onsite within a K-12 school environment. This contract position offers a schedule of 6 to 8 hours per week, providing focused support and specialized instruction for students in grades 3 through 7. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct instructional services to a small caseload of 3 students with hearing impairments. Provide consultative support for an additional 3 students within grades 3-7. Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to the unique needs of DHH students. Collaborate with school staff and families to facilitate effective communication and academic success. Maintain compliance with educational standards and protocols related to special education services. Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred. Strong understanding of strategies and resources tailored to support hearing-impaired students. Willingness and ability to work onsite exclusively. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues. Relevant teaching credentials or certifications aligned with special education and DHH instruction. Location: Position is based onsite in Jamaica, NY, within a K-12 school setting serving grades 3 to 7.
