This opportunity is for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education within a K-12 school setting. The position is located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and is offered on a contract basis for the full school year. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver specialized instructional programs for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring accessible and effective learning experiences. Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and support staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs). Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Facilitate communication and social integration skills development for students. Serve as a resource for families, providing guidance on strategies to support student learning at home. Qualifications and Experience: Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods. Ability to design and implement tailored instructional materials.
